How to Remove the Passcode on an iPhone

Setting up a passcode on your iPhone helps protect the information on your device. However, entering the passcode every time you turn the device on and also after waking the device up from Sleep mode can become a hassle. Whether you want to disable the passcode forever or for a short period of time, you can do so through the iPhone's Settings app.

  1. 1.

    Tap "Settings," then "General."

  2. 2.

Tap "Passcode Lock." Enter your existing passcode when prompted.

  3. 3.

Touch "Turn Passcode Off." Enter your existing passcode again when prompted. Upon successfully entering your passcode, it will no longer be enabled.
